The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, together with the Minister of
Agriculture, Edmond Panariti and other Parliament Members, visited an
agricultural investment at the Zhama area, in Lushnje district. This
investment is the first its kind in Albania, and it will be used for
processing and packaging agricultural products.
“It is time for the money spent on agriculture to be used not just for survival, but to transform this key sector of the Albanian economy”, declared the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama,
“We will support you financially and by supporting all the links of this chain. We will support those who will follow your example by opening new jobs through investments, by making this chain even stronger, so that the survival agriculture turns into the agriculture of development and transformation. 60 employees that you already have here will be multiplied to hundreds of thousands, because these new jobs will bring a chain reaction. It means more products for processing, more people who produce and have the certainty to come here and get what they want”, Rama declared.
Minister Panariti declared that this investment is a success model by guaranteeing a full support of the government for similar initiatives.
“60% of the government financial subventions go for supporting these investments which are all-inclusive, do not belong only to one category, but to all farmers, because everybody wins here, from farmers to those who process and even who transport goods. It is a chain of values”, Panariti declared.
Even in these first days of inauguration, it has caught the attention of Kosovo businessmen, who expressed their interest for agricultural goods from Albania, packed according to standards.
