Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future Addressing to the new graduates of the Political School of the European
Council, the Albanian President, Bamir Topi, spoke about the need of a
new vision for the Albanian politics.
“Our society needs more than ever a new political vision. I am not insinuating any specific group or person. My political vision is exactly the one that is being given today as a lecture in countries with a developed democracy, a vision that our politics has not expressed”, Topi declared.
The President declared that in a democratic society, every one is free and not a cloned product of someone else. He expressed his regret for the young men who have been transformed after they engaged in politics.
“Those young people who have had no connection with conflictual politics, today have a more civilized profile in TV debates, while those who have been part of the political parties, are different”, Topi declared.
The President noted that Albania failed for the second time with the status of the EU country, exactly because of this political crisis. According to him, there are many elements for a constructive politics among the young.
“There are many elements that know how are respected the institutions, the state, the communication ethics and how responsible are those who are engaged in politics and institutional life, in service of the society that voted them and to which they must serve”, the President declared.
The President then handed the certificates to the newly graduated, a ceremony turned into a tradition.
