Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future
The Albanian President, Bamir Topi, declared that the Albanian leaders should leave aside the political disagreements, empty rhetoric
and should think more about the country’s progress.
During a meeting with the British Ambassador in Tirana, Fiona McIlwham, Topi underlined that politics should focus on a dignifying and quick integration of Albania in the European family.
The Ambassador McIlwham stressed the need for finding a national agenda and strategic reforms in order to achieve the political consensus that would enable the country’s EU integration.
The Ambassador valued the public and institutional role of the President in Albania’s political developments, through clear and coherent messages for dialogue, cooperation and serious commitment of all political and institutional actors in Albania, in order to overcome the current political situation.
The Presidency notifies through a press release that the Albanian President and the Ambassador of the UK in Tirana shared the thought that it is indispensable to join the political wills for finding the most efficient ways of communication between the Albanian political forces, in service of the essential reforms, which are important for the political, legal, economic and social developments, as well as for Albania’s EU integration.
