Topi at the UN: Albania, economic growth

The Albanian President, Bamir Topi, was present at the High Level Debate
with the topic: “The World Economic Situation”, held in New York,
invited by the UN General Secretary, Ban Ki Mun.

In his speech in front of the head of states and their delegations, together with high personalities of the world economy, President Topi valued the country’s progress and changes in these 20 years.

“The Albanian republic, with the great political and economic changes that it has had in the last 20 years in its war towards democracy and the integration process in the euro atlantic structures, has paid a special attention to the economic and legislative reforms for being successfully involved in the market economy. It is a reality today that Albania is not only an important factor for peace and stability in Balkan, but it has improved its economy compared to the other economies in the region”, President Topi underlined.

“I want to greet the newest independent state of Kosovo, which has reached positive results in a very short time in all democratic and economic reforms processes, by affecting the peace and security in the region”, Topi declared.
