Topi apologizes for Berisha

“We refused the offers for personal commodity and chose to face him, as the best way to respect our self, our supporters, our integrity and our political convictions. We decided to leave the Democratic Party not today, but since when it stopped being a democratic political force. Every internal race for reforms was closed within that party. All the founding principles and program was changed, and it turned into a political-economic company that serves only to its leader and his political clan”, Topi declared.

The NDS leader considered it the government of corruption and scandals.

“To those who remind us the time when we were at the Democratic Party, I would say that we are proud for the positive contribution that we have given through the years for the political life. We cannot be directly responsible for the bad managing of the country, and the passage of the DP from a democratic political force, to a monist sect made for corruption and scandals that still follow today’s government”, Topi declared.

The former President declared that he made all that he could to preserve the independence of institutions, but he didn’t exclude himself from the responsibility when he said that he had not done all he could to prevent what he considered an usurpation of the institutions.

“This pride doesn’t block us, because today we must ask an apology to the citizens that we did not prevent this misfortune that is withholding the politics, the institutions, the economy and the public life, as we are aware that this makes us twice more committed”, Topi declared.
