The Parliament Speaker, Jozefina Topalli, visited the Rreshen
Municipality to follow the situation created by the heavy snow, which
has left many areas isolated.
During a meeting with the local authorities, the Parliament Speaker was updated with the measures taken in the emergent solution of the situation, and guaranteed the cooperation of all state services and tools.
Topalli declared that this is a situation that had not happened for several decades.
“This situation is worse than that of 1985. The snow is reaching high temperatures, which are lower than in 1985. Our battle is against the weather, which is not expected to let up soon”, the Parliament Speaker declared.
The Speaker paid a special attention to the situation created in Orosh, Fan and Selita, underlining that a maximal cautiousness is needed by the residents for cleaning their roofs and gardens.
Topalli asked the local government to list the services they need and the help will be granted immediately.
