The latest political developments in the country and the priorities of
the progress report for Albania were in the focus of the meeting between the Albanian Parliament Speaker, Jozefina Topalli, and the
General Director for Enlargement at the European Commission, Stefano
Sanino.
“As Speaker, I feel bad that the boycott and the failure to vote the laws of the European agenda damaged Albania so much. On the other hand, I feel good for the fact that the majority has offered to the opposition for starting working on the 53 recommendations of the ODIHR report about the electoral reform.
Mr. Sanino declared that Albania is a stability factor in the region. According to him, the European integration must be a national object, and all political forces should work in this direction.
