The Albanian Parliament is discussing the Budget 2018, but part of the debate focused on heated political comments, from Himara to cannabis.
The opposition is trying to find a connection between the budget revenues, economy and cannabis.
But why is the opposition connecting the positive economic indicators to cannabis? To answer this question, Democratic Party MP, Jorida Tabaku, was tonight’s guest on Top Story.
“The Bank of Albania has raised a very big concern, based on the INSTAT data. The economic growth the government claims is based on construction, but the Bank of Albania also says that this has not increased with the same pace as crediting from banks. If this money doesn’t come from bank loans, then it is strange. Where does this money come from?”, Tabaku declared.
According to the Democratic Party MP, figures for the economic situation are being manipulated.
“The government has not received any foreign investor in the past four years. The debt has not decreased. By the end of 2016 it was 73%. They are manipulating figures. IMF says that if they continue with the 1 bln USD project, the debt will be damaged in the future”, the Democratic Party MP declared.
The Socialist MP, Ervin Bushati, said that the opposition claims are false. He added that the government has been valued praised by international partners as regards economy.
Bushati notes that there has been improvement from the report of the Supreme State Audit.
“The report says that everything is within normality. It says that the debt is under control for the first time, and with a decreasing trend”, the Socialist MP declared.
