A Top Channel crew that was working for reporting the electoral process has been violated by a group of unidentified people.
Top Channel’s journalist, Arta Berisha, reported a few minutes ago that a group of people have attacked cameraman Lorik Bajrami and broke his camera.
According to Berisha, the crew was attacked because they were filming while a group of people were telling the voters in Sanxhak that if they were left supporters there were not going to be allowed inside.
This moment was filmed by cameraman Bajrami. As soon as they noticed that, they reacted by attacking Top Channel’s cameraman and by destroying his camera.
Journalist Berisha and cameraman Bajrami are at the Police, where they are reporting the case. Top Channel appeals the Police to react for the violence used against the media.
Meta: Berisha can’t leave without blood
The Socialist Party leader, Edi Rama, together with the Socialist Movement for Integration leader, Ilir Meta, visited the town of Lac after the tragic death of a SMI supporter.
This is an effort to scare people away, and to change the will of the Albanian people. We will guarantee the free will of the people. Police should serve to the citizens and the elections”, Rama declared.
Meta asked for measures to be taken against those who are responsible, and accused the police of supporting the criminals.
“The State Police is working in favor of the manipulators and the Democratic Party. Sali Berisha cannot leave his post without blood. We will protect our vote in Lac, Mamurras and all Albania”, Meta declared.
