Top Channel’s 10th anniversary

The celebration of Top Channel was joined by Albanian personalities, such as the Albanian President, Bamir Topi, the former Presidents Rexhep Mejdani and Alfred Mojsiu, politicians from the opposition and the ruling party, ambassadors and personalities from art, journalism and public life.

The Managing Director of Top Channel, Enkelejd Joti, held the opening speech and declared that freedom is one of the biggest dimensions of a TV station.

“10 years ago, when Dritan Hoxha thought about building a television and turn it into the main window of all Albanians, few were those to believe that he would actually realize it. This was a beautiful dream for Dritan, but for many others, it was a dream that could hardly be realized. But he had a free way of thinking, outside the primitive ambience of the audio-visual media of the time. The passion and energy that Dritan was able to transmit to the young people surrounding him, made the dreams win over skepticism, by breaking any prejudice and by turning them to reality. Top Channel came to life by a dream, the freedom to dream, and this made millions of citizens in Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and wherever they live and work in North America an Europe, to follow us with loyalty and encourage us in every step that we take. We thank from the bottom of our heart all Albanians and everyone who is present here today”, Joti declared.

Famous personalities and figures presented not only the achievements, but also the new dimensions that Top Channel has achieved in these 10 years.

Top Channel came to life as a dream, and will continue as history, not only the history of the people who created it, but of the entire Albanian society. According to the President, Vjollca Hoxha, Top Media has many dreams yet to realize.

“I want to thank you all; all those who honored us with their presence; all workers and collaborators that contributed in this decade for realizing the big dream of Dritan Hoxha. A dream that stills continues and that brings on many others. We are only 10 years old, still a child, and children have many dreams for their future”, Mrs. Hoxha declared.
