Top Channel has won a legal battle against the Syri.Net portal after suing it for libel.
The Tirana court decided in favor of the plaintiff in this case Top Channel television, finding that it was subject of non-pecuniary damage, and therefore ordered the respondent “Center for Open Information”, owner of the Syri.Net domain. to publish at its own expense a statement disproving their claims.
The court also orders the defendant “Open Information Center”, owner of the Syri.Net domain, to remove the news published on 28.02.2019 from the Syri.net website and all other portals where this news was published.
As the trial won today the Top Channel is following a number of similar processes.
