Top Channel disproves Frattini

The Italian Newspaper “La Repubblica” has dedicated its first page to
the journalist and businessman Valter Lavitola, and the request he made
to the secretary of the Italian Foreign Minister, Franco Frattini, for
meeting with the then Albanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign
Minister, Ilir Meta, and the fact that Top Channel has disproved the
declaration of the Italian Minister, in which he had denied the meeting
of Meta with Lavitola.

The first news, published on Tuesday, shows that Lavitola has mentioned Ilir Meta in 2009, describing him as the man who held Berisha’s government on its feet with his four MPs, and who was aiming to take nine others.

Frattini denied that Meta had met Lavitola, the Italian businessman who has fled Italy after the court issued an arrest order against him, for having released fake declarations in favor of Silvio Berlusconi.

But the photos realized by Top-Channel exactly on that day in Farnesina, prove the contrary.

“The authenticity of Top Channel’s photo was proved by the official photo on the web page of the Italian Foreign Ministry, which shows that both Ministers wear the same ties in both photos”, La Repubblica says in its article.

Frattini pretended that Lavitola had never participated in institutional meetings and that he has never mixed working meetings with other activities.
