Tomorrow the Kakavija border crossing point will be closed because the employees of the Greek side will go on strike.
The closure will last for a 24-hour period, while the decision has come as employees demand salary increase, payment of overtime as well as improvement of working conditions.
Kakavija will be closed from tomorrow, November 24 at 07:00 until November 25 at 07:00 local time in Greece. Vehicles such as motorcycles, cars, vans with citizens and trucks with goods will not be allowed to pass in this time frame.
Kakavije Border Police clarifies that during this time frame, both at the entrance and exit of the Greek customs, the passage of vehicles such as motorcycles, cars, vans transporting citizens and trucks transporting goods, will not be allowed.
Exceptions will be made only for pedestrians, trucks transporting refrigerated food, trucks transporting live animals and vehicles for health emergencies or deaths.
Kakavija Border Police calls on all citizens who want to travel to Greece, during this time frame, to avoid traveling towards this crossing point.
