
Rinas Airport will open its doors today to Albanians who have been left outside the country’s borders due to the coronavirus emergency.
The first flights from Rome and Istanbul to Albania will begin for the repatriation of Albanians, in a process that will continue today and tomorrow. All returnees are obliged to be quarantined in one of the specific hotels in Durrës for 14 days.
According to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, the Istanbul-Tirana trips will start today, followed by the Tirana-Rome and Rome-Tirana trips. While tomorrow, April 19th, the flights Tirana-Milan and Milan-Tirana will be carrid out.
In the coming days, repatriation flights from Bari, Frankfurt, Paris and London are also planned. Citizens who wish to return, as announced during these days, must first book the hotel in which they will quarantine for 14 days after arriving in Albania, along with the payment, and then make the ticket reservation.
This procedure can be done through the website of Air Albania, where the prescribed procedures must be followed.
