Sauk residents whose houses were destroyed two days ago for making way
to the construction of the Tirana Ring Road have not been compensated
yet for their properties.
Arben Brahja had a two store house only a couple of days ago, but now he has only one tend where he is sleeping for guarding the ruins that remind him the sweat and efforts of a lifetime. His house was assessed with a value of 93 million ALL, which he was told that he would receive today, but the bank told him that the money had not been transferred yet. He will go again tomorrow, although the value of his house is much bigger than that.
The two store villa housed Arben and his family in the first floor, and his son with his family in the second. Now he says that with the compensation money he can buy only a one bedroom apartment. He hopes to receive also the money of the land where the house was built, although the assessment of 26.000 ALL per square meters seems ridiculous.
Now he expects the new Mayor to give him a construction permit for building his house from scratch in the land that he owns, therefore he is asking the government to not delay the procedures, because his family members are sheltered in the houses of his relatives.
