The Priska village in Tirana is still surrounded by the fire that broke
up this Sunday and might be difficult for the authorities to put out.
According to recent information, the fire has burned great areas and has even endangered the life of the residents.
The Civil Emergency forces and Firefighters are working to put the flames out, but they are spread even more by the winds created by the decreased temperatures.
Hundreds of hectares of forests and pastures were burned a few days ago throughout Albania.
Experts declared that there were at least 30 fire sources that had required the engagement of all civil emergency forces.
The Forest Police inspector, Genci Hoxhaj, emphasized that in almost all cases the fires were caused by people.
Due to the difficult terrain, the firefighters’ intervention has been almost impossible and the situation has required an intervention from the air.
