Today was inaugurated the museum for the tragic events of 09/11 in USA, which yesterday had their 10th anniversary.
Present in this ceremony were the President Bamir Topi, the Prime Minister Sali Berisha, the US Ambassador Alexander Arvizu and other exponents of the Albanian politics.
The US ambassador invited the visitors to remember the victims of the attacks, promising that they will never be forgotten.
“09/11 produced many heroes. We will never forget those who lost their life”, declared the US ambssador.
President Topi declared that the 0911 attacks are the most tragic event of modern times.
“The US was hit by the bloody hand of Al Qaeda. The 0911 attacks changed the course of the world, but not the character of the US. Today, Al Qaeda has taken a hard hit”, Topi declared.
The head of the Albanian state underlined that the US are Albania’s most important ally, and promised further commitment for the international missions against terrorism.
Prime Minister Berisha valued the work with the US leadership in the war against terror by expressing his gratitude to the current US President, Barack Obama, and his predecessor, George W. Bush.
