The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, declared that the Socialist Party will fight for 61 mandates at the Municipal Council.
Veliaj underlined that regardless whether the opposition attends the elections or not, the majority will be racing to reach a better result and to continue the transforming project for Tirana.
“If the opposition keeps refusing to bring another alternative rather than blocking projects, this is their decision. Our race is with ourselves. Every year we must be better. I am certain that we are going to do a better job in the next year”, Veliaj said.
The Mayor underlined that the new council will have a new majority that will allow important decisions to be taken.
