Tirana Mayor replaces Municipal Chief of Police

The Mayor of Tirana, Lulzim Basha, replaced the Chief of the Municipal
Police, Florenc Hoxha, with the Chief of the Traffic Police, Vullnet
Topalli.

Hoxha will be appointed as head of the Construction Inspectorate, after the post was left vacant by Arben Noka.

Hoxha worked as Chief of the Municipal Police for about one year, and during this period he was accused of using violence against the employees of the former administration and the Roma people, for which reacted not only the Albanian Ombudsman, but also international human rights institutions.
