Tirana Mayor on BBC World Service, presenting city’s transformations

Tirana Mayor, Erion Veliaj, was this Saturday’s special guest on BBC World Service, London.
Velia spoke about the transformations that the city has gone through, especially about the measures for reducing cars and improving the quality of air, such as the planting of 2 million trees at the Orbital Forest.
Veliaj discussed for more than one hour with the BBC World journalist, Julian Worricker, and the famous journalist Stefanie Bolzen. He explained that the involvement of children in green campaigns, sch as Days Without Cars and Kindergartens, helped grown-ups change their mentality as well.
Veliaj listed other green achievements, such as plastic bags ban and the increased number of electric cars.
