Tirana welcomed the biggest Balkan exhibition on water, with experts and lawmakers from around the world sharing their experiences for further developing this sector in our region.
The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, said that this is a great opportunity to learn more about this sector and for translating the knowledge in concrete projects.
“I met several colleagues from Hungary, Netherlands, and I am happy that we are learning from the best. It is very easy to speak about European integration if we don’t’ speak about the integration of these specific projects. Cooperation with countries that are leading Europe for the way how they manage water, is very important for us. I am happy that these platforms are turning into a great opportunity to do more business and more cooperation”, Veliaj underlined.
The Mayor listed a series of important investments in the aqueduct systems, including the doubling of Bovilla’s capacity, (the main aqueduct that supplies water to Tirana).
