Tirana-Elbasan tunnel opened

Present in this ceremony was the Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, followed by Minister, MPs and members of the staff that realized the projcet.

“This is a historical day for the citizens of Tirana, Elbasan, and all the others that travel in this segment. Tirana and Elbasan are joining with the light of thsi tunnel. Today we are realizing one of the most important links of our infrastructure. The Tirana-Elbasan tunnel is part of the most important segment of the 8th corridor”, Berisha declared.

Berisha also asked the opposition leader to not stop their MPs from visiting the new highway, and to apologize the public for his votes against the project, referring to Rama’s votes against the annual budget that included the construction of the tunnel.
