The Tirana-Elbasan highway has divided the Recan village in two. Not
only it has not helped locals with transportation, but they also put
their lives at risk on a daily basis.
Although there are underpasses, no one has built roads leading to them. The entrance of one of them has been blocked, and residents are forced to cross the dangerous highway.
Residents say that the cemeteries are on the other side of the road, and they have to cross with the funeral and casket through the highway.
The “Aktor” Company had to build not only underpasses, but also the village roads and the embankment of the Kushe stream that floods their agricultural land.
Now that the works have been interrupted, no one knows what will be done.
