Tirana attending one of Europe’s biggest tourist fairs

The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, shared the news on Twitter, hopeful that the number of tourists in Tirana will be even bigger next year.

“We are ready. The traditional and modern Tirana will be represented at the Brussels Fair this year. We have already had a tourism boom, but we need more”, Veliaj said.

Thanks to the many visitors and attention that the event receives from international media, this is a great economic, social and tourism chance for promoting the history and culture of Albania.

Albania will be represented by a series of activities, such as the International Tirana-Brussels Conference; the historic journey of Albanians; bilateral meetings between Albanian and European business leaders, and a series of events and artistic-cultural programs. It will also have its space in Brussels’ city center, with the purpose to promote traditional Albanian products, artisan products, characteristic kitchenware and other touristic objects.
