Thursday, last deadline for laws

This Thursday is the last deadline for the voting of the three draft-laws for receiving the EU candidate status.

Prime Minister Sali Berisha appealed the opposition to join the votes for these laws, since on November 20th the European Commission will plan the report for Albania’s performance in fulfilling the conditions.

“This Thursday is the last deadline. The representatives of the Commissions must sti together on the verge of this anniversary, and on the verge of an important decision that is expected to be given on November 20th by the European Commission, so that we can fulfil our obligation towards every Albanian. Mr. Rama personalizes things and he is very wrong about this, because personalization does not help. He believes that Albania should not receive the status, because the Government and the Prime Minister would profit more from it. No, it’s the Albanian citizens who benefit. The Albanians are able to see when we cooperate. The credit is given to all political forces. You cannot create political capital by damaging the national vital interest. There is no justification for the damage made to the country by not voting the three laws. There is a shorter way to resolve the issue, which is very legal, political and constitutional, and it’s the motion. Let’s make the motion in all communes and municipalities, rather than withholding our country’s progress”, Berisha declared.
