Within a few hours, there was the third accident involving motorcycles in the roads of the country, where a French tourist was injured.
The event took place in the area of Llamani in Himare on the southern coast of the country. A “Volkswagen” vehicle driven by a 44-year-old English woman collided with a motorcycle with a 31-year-old Austrian driver.
As a result, a 27-year-old French woman, who was a passenger in the motorcycle, was injured. She received a leg injury and was taken to the hospital.
The causes of the accident are still unknown, while the expertise investigative team are at the scene.
Earlier, a Polish tourist traveling on motorcycle along with a group of other motorcyclists, had an accident on the Qafë Thane-Doganë road axis in the southeast. In still unclear circumstances he was hit by a “Benz” type vehicle.
Meanwhile, on the road axis Korçë-Pogradec in the southeast, a 73-year-old man who was traveling on a motorcycle lost his life. He was fatally hit by a “Mitsubishi” type car.
Road authorities call on drivers to show maximum care and respect for traffic rules, especially on mountainous or isolated roads.
