The World Leader of the Bektashi Order, Baba Mondi, held a speech in
front of the pilgrims gathered for the Abaz Ali celebrations at the
Tomorr Mountain.
Baba Mondi spoke about the positivity that needs to accompany our society in these difficult times.
“Each of us must keep in mind the prophets and the difficulties they had to face during their life on earth”, he said.
The Tomorr Mountain Pilgrimage counts each year more pilgrims who visit the holy site 2400 meters above the seal level, from August 20 to August 25th.
A lamb sacrifice is the symbolic of the celebration, with the meat being spread to visitors. Tradition is that every person must be part of the pilgrimage for three consequent years.
