The road that leads to Theth, 1800 meters above the sea level, looks like a snow tunnel in these days of Spring.
Abandoned by the state, these residents have worked to open the road themselves. The Head of the Commune says that none of the responsible institutions have intervened for this.
“The Theth residents get together each year, with a small help from the commune, in order to open the road. The road has been blocked for a long time”, declared Bal Vuksani, Head of the Shal Commune.
Residents say that the most visited mountainous area by tourists should not be left like this.
“Tourist cars have been blocked by snow for days. No measures have been taken and residents are opening the road with their contribution”, a resident declared.
Now that the road is open, it means tourist season. The road has returned several tourists back.
The Theth road, although open, looks like a snow tunnel. The citizens’ appeal is that this tourist area shouldn’t be abandoned by the state.
