In October, the Albanian political class must show in front of the
international community how much they have achieved for the European
integration.

The EU ambassador in Tirana, Ettore Sequi, declared that the Albanian politicians have much to do until this autumn, in order to fulfill the 12 recommendations set by the EU.

The ambassador valued the consensus of the Albanian Parliament for approving the Penal Code, considering it a very positive step. He appealed to continue this way.

Mr. Sequi released these declarations during a visit at the Agricultural University, for which the EU has given a 2 million EUR fund for the purchase of scientific equipments to be used for soil quality tests.

EU, funds for Agricultural University

The Agro-Business and Ecology students at the Agricultural University of Tirana now will be able to test soil and water in the new laboratory financed by the EU.

According to the Education Minister, Myqerem Tafaj, the tests at this lab will be made not only for scientific tests, but also for studies that could be very useful to the interested institutions.

The Minister admitted that the labs of this standard required big investments and training.

Present in this inauguration was the EU Ambassador in Tirana, Ettore Sequi. He promised the students that the EU will support the scientific researches at this university.
