The Socialist meetings for attracting ideas from interest groups, which
will later be added to the program “For a National Rebirth”, have
continued with culture.

The opposition leader, Edi Rama, promised a new approach to culture: that of a country that through artistic creativity will change the policy towards culture.

“After two decades, it is clear that the government’s approach to culture and arts should be changed”, Rama declared.

Rama asked the working group to focus on the details of this part of the program by building, as he underlined, a process with more participation and based on more experiences, not only for reflecting, but also for profiting from the success stories of the artists inside and outside the country.

Rama also presented the main points on which the attention of the working group should focus.

“There are some points that I think that should be used as reference at the culture program, starting from the European Albania, the cultural cooperation in our region and wider, as a main pillar of the cultural policies, the cultural heritage as an asset that cannot be left in degradation. The cultural administration, as a necessity for reforming the state mechanism for the culture today”, Rama declared.

Earlier the month, the SP leader gathered the meeting where the attention was paid to the former politically persecuted people, declaring that this category has only been abused.

While by the end of the last month, the next meeting was dedicated to the sharp social matters which the Albanian society is facing today, in which Rama accused the Berisha government and its institutions that they are lying about the poverty figures.
