The Socialist Assembly

The assembly was opened with a speech of the Socialist leader, Edi Rama, who started proposing the names of the assembly members and leaders, a name list that will open many debates.

Gramoz Ruci, proposed by Rama as leader of the Socialist Party Assembly, was chosen with 169 votes. In Rama’s name list there are many famous Socialist names that return in leading forums, while some of the old leadership were been left out.

“This assembly is wider than the previous one. This is the assembly of the future electoral battle. I have two propositions to make for you today, regarding the creation of the conditions for fully covering the entire territory. Let us approve today the establishment of a Committee of Territorial Representation. I understand this Committee as a structure of the National Assembly that must serve to the party and help its leader, not only today in opposition, but also tomorrow in governing, as a structure directly connected with the territory, the problematic and other realities of the country, beyond the capital’s borders and the Parliament’s walls”, declared Rama in his speech.

Edi Rama’s choices might have unsatisfied people, because not everyone is included in these propositions. However, no one has announced any dissatisfaction until now.
