The Prosecution of Tirana asked 4 years in prison for Vehbi Alimucaj,
the former owner of VEFA, accused of money laundering after an
accelerated trial.
The Prosecution of Tirana accepted the Prosecution’s request to sentence his son, Artan Alimucaj, to four years in prison over the same charges.
Vehbi Alimucaj was sentenced of frauding against many people. The investigations have shown that he had a bank in Hungary with 328.000 USD in it. On the same bank, his son, Artan Alimucaj, has had another account with 647.000 USD. The Prosecution says that this money is product of illegal activities in 1997, when his pyramidal scheme was destroyed.
