The project for the new mosque

The members of the commission that was established at the Municipality
for the construction of the mosque at the Namazgjaja, decided in
unanimity that a new project is needed for the mosque, which must be in
harmony with the surroundings.
The project must reflect the Albanian cultural heritage in its design. The Commission was also acquainted with the proposal of the Muslim community, for the engagement of an architectural studio that will plan this project.
The representatives of the Muslim Community suggested the studio of Muharrem Hilmi Shenalp, who has projected mosques in many countries of the world. In this meeting was discussed the commission with six members, with representatives from the Muslim Community and the Tirana Municipality, who will prepare the reference terms for the interview.
