The Presidential fever

Prime Minister Sali Berisha often appears at the government meeting in
good humors and launches irony against characters involved in current
political events.

But this time there was no irony from him about the meeting of the opposition leader with Berisha’s first government ally, Ilir Meta. However, he could not escape the journalist questions about this matter.

“I understand that you are focused on the presidential fever, but I’m on a government meeting here and I will continue with the schedule. These fevers have been very strong, they have involved even journalists. Some of you maybe not, because I don’t know your age, but others yes. It has gone at the level of analysts and journalists. But I only greet them, because there is no better dream than a presidential dream”, Berisha declared.

One of them who has expressed his presidential dream, is Fatos Nano, the former Socialist Party leader and former Prime Minister of Albania. Berisha is expected to meet Nano this Thursday.

Until the procedure will start, this is the only exclusion that Berisha will make for the meetings about the presidential election.

“The agenda doesn’t allow me to discuss things with him. I said that I will discuss it after returning from the Chicago summit, and I have explained the way it will be proceeded”, Berisha declared.

The Chicago summit will be held on 20 and 21 May, while the Parliamentary Procedure for the President election will start with the Conference of Leaders, or maybe a couple of days later. After this day Berisha will start the dialogue with his homologues, including the Socialist leader, Edi Rama.
