Every operation held on terrain during these days of heavy floods, is managed by the civilian emergency room at the Interior Ministry.
Thousands of calls and updates have been reported from all over Albania in the past 72 hours.
“This room and these people collect information coming from Prefects and mayors, and then it is distributed to institutions which need to intervene in the areas mostly at risk. We have received 150 phone calls within one hour”, said Bekim Murati, coordination director.
But what should Albaninas expect in the hours to come?
“Most of the flux is focused in Southern areas, where the situation is still problematic, mainly in Berat, Korca, Fier and Vlora”, Murati declared.
