The Ministry of Infrastructure and energy, Belinda Balluku, said that the Kukes Airport has been a strategic project, also because of its position, right between Tirana and Prishtina.
The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, said that the project will generate several job.
“The existing buildings will be taken down to build a new terminal, modern and with full capacity. The tarmac will be the most important feature. We are still within the deadline”, Minister Balluku declared.
The representative of the concessionary company declared that they will realize the construction works within the year, by working with three shifts, so that it can be final by PAril 2020.
The total investment will be 7 million EUR.
