Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future 18/08 14:30
After 36 debates – similar to the presidential election debates in the
US – the Euro-Socialist Forum of the Socialist Party gathered the
congress where 2000 candidates will vote for 6 candidates, one of whom
will be the leader of FRESSH.
By greeting this election model, Rama told the young socialists that they must turn into the spokespeople of hope, rather than disappointment.
“Allow everyone around you, at school, at home, at cities and villages, to have the opportunity to feel the positive energy and hope that I feel here, and I am sure that this help will never be missing, and it will be decisive for victories that no one will be able to steal again. I want to express my gratitude to the Secretary for Youth, Erion Veliaj”, Rama declared.
Rama dedicated to FRESSH the next Parliamentary elections, underlining that victory is safe, if the preparations of the Socialists to show the change will be maximal.
“In these hundreds of days before the elections, the opposition must develop its governing program and use all energies of the people who want the change, so that we can offer the most detailed plan that an opposition has ever had. A plan that is based on our values as a progressive force, our program for a National Rebirth that will be an effort for governing Albania differently”, Rama declared.
Rama commented Nishani’s election in Parliament as the new President of the country.
“Albania woke up today with another party notary in the role of the President, by giving to the European family the worst message, before the third test in Brussels. We lost a big opportunity this Monday. The blind politics of divisions and clashes about everything imposed itself over the politics and dialogue and understanding for the big European matters. Our case for uniting with Europe took a hard blow. Europe today is farther than yesterday, and Albania is farther to the European family. We, the Socialists, are even more aware for the necessity to change and turn Albania in an undividable part of Europe”, Rama declared.
On the last debate in front of thousands of Socialists that had filled the Palace of Congresses, the six candidates expressed their vision for leading this important forum of the Socialist Party. On Wednesday, after the ballots will be counted, the name of the new FRESSH leader will come out.
