Today was celebrated the 60th anniversary of the creation of the
Polytechnic University of Tirana. The history of this university starts
in 1951, when was created the High Polytechnic Institute.
All engineering faculties regrouped in 1991, during the last system, by forming the Tirana Polytechnic University.
In
2007, as result of the government scientific reforms in Albania, the
constituent structure of the Polytechnic University of Tirana changed.
It has now six faculties and two Research and Development Institutions.
In this anniversary were present the founders and leaders of this University, who have contributed during the years.
