The CEC leader, Gjiknuri: Majority is violating law

The Socialist Party accused the majority of preparing a scenario for the
election of the new Central Election Commission Chairman.
In a press conference, the Socialist MP, Damian Gjiknuri underlined that the majority is intentionally violating the Electoral Code, since the election of the CEC Chairman is being held after the election of the members of this institution.
“The majority is violating the Electoral Code that we approved with consensus. The regulation asked the voting of the CEC members that have now been approved. We only need political will for the implementation of the electoral code”, Gjiknuri said.
The Socialist MP declared that with the situation that has been created, it has been verified that Berisha’s promises for cooperation with the opposition are just demagogy.
