The Kosovo Prime Minister, Hashim Thaci, declared this Wednesday that
they are waiting for the Kosovo independence recognition from Egypt.

Thaci declared that the recognition was expected much sooner, but due to the revolution and the formation of the new institution, the process had been postponed.

The Prime Minister released these declarations after a meeting with an Egyptian delegation, valuing that Kosovo’s recognition from this country is expected to happen very soon.

Kuwait recognizes Kosovo independence

Kuwait recognized the independence of Kosovo and will establish diplomatic relations in level of ambassadors.

The news comes from the Kuwaiti branch of the French news Agency, “AFP”.

“Based on the instructions of the Emir, the state of Kuwait recognizes Kosovo’s independence and will exchange diplomatic relations at ambassador levels with this state”, the agency quotes the Kuwaiti Council of Ministers.

The Kuwaiti government cabinet has asked their Foreign Ministry to take the necessary measures for implementing the decision. The news is expected to be confirmed by the Kosovo authorities.

The Kosovo Foreign Ministry data suggest that Kuwait is the 82nd state that recognizes Kosovo.

Nigeria and Gabon have not sent their official statements yet, and they are not present in the list of the countries that have recognized Kosovo.

Due to the missing official recognition, the Kosovo diplomacy has put in discussion the recognition process from these countries.
