presence of 15 member countries and also the Prime Ministers of Kosovo
and Serbia.
Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Hashim Thaci, declared that it is essential to establish the rule of law in northern Kosovo, and asked the Serbian government to remove illegal structures.
“We have had 20 incidents only in the last three months”, theaci declared, saying that the dialogue will be successful if there is good will from the Serbian authorities.
The Serbian Prime Minister declared that the Serbs in Kosovo are not safe.
“Serbia is determined to preserve peace and stability in the region, in order to enter the EU. Serbia’s policy is based on consensus and respects the rights of Serbians and Albanians in Kosovo”, Dacic declared, according to Kosovopress.
According to him, dialogue is the only way that Serbia sees for resolving the problems.
“We want to implement all agreements. We have discussed many issues in Brussels. Miniloc met Jajhaga and this means that Serbia’s political position respects the changes that took place in Kosovo in full accordance with resolution 1244”, Dacic declared, saying that the role of UNMIK should remain unchanged, without taking in consideration the budget problems.
The UN Special Representative in Kosovo, Farid Zarif, mentioned in his report various challenges that Kosovo is facing right now.
He underlined that the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia has reached significant achievements and that the main challenges are on terrain.
