Thaci mentions national unification

The Kosovo Prime Minister, Hashim Thaci, returned to the topic of the unification of Albanians in one single state.

Disappointed from the recent EU Commission report for the visa regime, the Kosovo PM declared that the problem is not in Prishtina, but in the lack of unity between the EU countries about Kosovo’s status.

Thaci made these comments during the Parliamentary session. He said that if Brussels keeps this behaviour, the only option remaining to the Albanians is entering the EU as one single state.

“The Kosovo Albanians were treated as second hand citizens in the Yugoslav era. There are still bureaucrats in Brussels who treat Albanians in the same way, with a nostalgia that comes from Yugoslavia of Tito and Milosevic. This is true and I say this in full responsibility as a Prime Minister. I have made this concern public even in closed meetings. If the Kosovo integration process will be delayed and if Brussels keeps this behaviour, all it remains for the Albanians is enter the EU as one single state”, Thaci declared.

The Parliamentary Session continued with the debate about the high energy price, especially during January.
