Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, a few days after being
reelected leader of the PDK, spoke about the latest changes in the party
that he will lead for the next four years. In an exclusive interview
for Top Channel, he valued the 6th electoral convention of the PDK as
extremely successful.
Thaci denied voices that the Parliamentary Speaker and Secretary of this party would be discharged for boycotting the convention. Thaci added that his party doesn’t push people away, but on the contrary.
“In 13 years that I have been leading PDK, no one has left the party and my goal is to make it more powerful, and make no one to leave, in any circumstance”, Thaci declared.
As for a possible coalition with Haradinaj’s party, who is aiming for the Prime Minister’s post, Thaci declared that his position is not negotiable.
“These positions are decided by the voters, and PDK will respect it. I trust the citizens’ support and will respect their will”, Thaci declared.
The Prime Minister of Kosovo commented the dialogue in Brussels and the Development Fund topci, on which they have agreed. Thaci declared that the money collected by Kosovo’s Customs will enter the state budget, and added that the Kosovo President will meet the Serbian homologue, Nikolic, on February 6th.
Thaci announced that he will meet the main Kosovo parties’ leaders in the next week, to discuss the electoral reform which has not been concluded yet.
