Kosovo and Serbia Presidents, Hashim Thaci and Alexandar Vucic, were
received this Monday in Brussels for an informal meeting by the EU High
Representative of Foreign Policies, Federica Mogherini.
Both leaders agreed to start a new period of talks on normalizing the relations between the two countries, and decided that both of their teams must already start preparations.
High Representative Mogherini confirmed once again the dedication of EU to the future of Western Balkan into the block.
The Kosovo-Serbia talks for normalizing their relations have started since 2011 and a series of agreements have been signed so far, but most of them have not been implemented.
The negotiations intermediated by the EU had been suspended for a long time, initially due to the Serbian presidential elections and due to the early elections in Kosovo.
