The Serbian President, Alexandar Vucic, declared at the UN Security Council meeting that the Prishtina-Belgrade dialogue will continue only when Kosovo removes the 100% tax on Serbian goods.
“We will continue the dialogue as soon as they remove the fees. I am not very optimistic. My concerns are higher than before. I hope that one day we will be able to reach this agreement with Prishtina”, Vucic said.
The Security Council gathered by request of Serbia, to discuss the decision of the Kosovo Parliament to transform its Security Forces into a proper army.
Thaci declared that the complaints raised by Vucic about possible threats by Kosovo are unfounded, and, as a response, Thaci listed the crimes committed by Serbia during the war.
He said that the decision for building the army is irreversible and guaranteed that it will contribute to bringing peace and stability to the region.
