While the administrative reofrm in Tirana has turned into the next
debate between the majority and the opposition, the United States
Ambassador, Alexander Arvizu, asked the Albanian politics to continue
with this process.

“The United States will help Albania for the administrative territorial reform. The Albanian Parliament has created a parliamentary commission with the participation of the opposition and the majority for a process that will consolidate the number of local units, since 385 local units is a huge number for having efficiency. We trust that this process will continue, and it is very important for Albania. We hope that this process will have a good result”, Arvizu declared.

The Ambassador gave these comments during a meeting with representatives of the civil society in Korca.
