The Fier Prosecution completed the investigations against the
administrator of the oil company “Tea Construction, Petrol”, the former
Chief Director of the Customs and some dependants working under her
administration, all accused of being involved in a fraud scheme with a 2
million EUR value, and an incalculable damage caused by the circulation
of unprocessed and faulty gas, due to fictive actions.
Fier Prosecution investigations verified that Adrian Xhillari, administrator of Tea Oil, has received permission from Customs authorities to transport the “virgin” oil owned by him from the Mezez depots, in Tirana, to the oil refinery of Ballsh.
Investigations showed that this oil, 4.4 million liters of raw oil, which is not allowed to be distributed to the market, has not arrived at the Ballsh deposits but was distributed in gas stations around different cities, and was sold in the market.
The Prosecution says that the damage caused mounts up to 2 million EUR due to the avoiding of excise.
According to the Fier Prosecution, the investigations have shown that the Customs employees who were tasked to register the fuel movement have failed to do that. The people under investigation are:
Adrian Xhillari, administrator of “Tea Construction & Petrol Sh.A”
Lula Njebza, former Vice General Director of Custosm
Mirarbër Teneqexhiu, former Director of the Tirana Customs Branch
Alfred Bushi, Fier Customs employee
Syrja Misiraj, Fier Customs employee
Adrian Alikaj, accused of forgery of official documents
