Taxi drivers on protest

More than 1000 taxi drivers protested this Thursday by blocking the
“Deshmoret e Kombit” boulevard, against the dishonest competition that
is damaging their business.
The taxi drivers asked the Mayor of Tirana, Lulzim Basha, to keep the given promise and not allow unfair competition by unlicensed taxi cabs.
Regardless their constant requests for meeting the Mayor, they say that Basha has not met with them.
The taxi drivers have been complaining for a long time for the unfair competition, but it seems that there will be no solution from the Tirana Municipality.
