Tirana Mayor, Edi Rama, met the residents of Municipal Unit no. 10 by stopping at the “Çam” market.

“Who should we trust? He who used to be in the government says that taxes are being taken by the municipality, and he will reduce those taxes”, a merchant said.

After clarifying that most of the taxes are collected by the central government, Rama replied: “You can decide now who to trust”.

Rama asked the merchants’ vote on May 8th to continue their road. “May 8th is the day when you should demand explanations and open the way forward. Remove the all obstacles and you will open the way for more employment, more war against corruption and thievery”, Rama declared.

During a meeting with the Mayor, the merchants emphasized the decrease of the buying power and the citizens getting poorer because of price increase. Afterwards, Rama continued meeting residents of “Rruga e Bogdanëve”.
