Taxes, Rama like Obama

Rama says that the current tax system has no sense, since the biggest contributors are those who have fewer revenues, while more than 50% of the bank deposits belong to 5% of the Albanians.

“A common citizen pays the government on food, clothes and basic services three times more than the big businesses or a big company. The biggest contributors for our government taxes are 95% of the people who today earn less and pay more. We will reduce taxes for 95% of the people. This is the policy that we will follow”, Rama declared.

Rama added that the businesses will receive all necessary guarantees for leaving behind the corruption networks that do not allow them getting bigger. The tax of the new program will change based on the principle that the rich will pay more. Another basic part of this program is the promise to open 10 times more jobs through public finances.

“By being aware that we must overthrow the old system of assistance for the unemployed and built a new system for reactivating and integrating the unemployed in the job market, we will turn it into a program of securing new jobs”, Rama declared.

Reducing the debt is another point mentioned by Rama. According to him, the service of this debt will pass 4% of the GDP, surpassing even the public funds that the government is giving for some of the key sectors of the country.

“Every Albanian child that is born today has a debt of 2450 USD on his shoulders. Every Albanian family pays today 65 USD each month for the debt, which is bigger than the electric bill and almost half of an average pension in the city”, Rama declared.

The new program of the Socialist Party presents other elements too, one of which is the issue with politically persecuted people of the communist regime and the former land owners.

Rama also declared that canceling unjust concessions will be another point of the program. The reform in pensions and health insurances is also included in the Socialist Program.
